§ Mr. Worthington
To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs which parts of Sudan are still inaccessible to international aid agencies and humanitarian relief.
§ Mr. Baldry
Operation Lifeline Sudan was refused access in January to seven of the 95 destinations 705W designated as relief distribution centres: Maiyut, Pariang, Boma, Nimule, Chunkodum, Ikotos and Mundri. These are all located in areas of military activity. Access to the Nuba mountains remains as described in my answer of 25 October 1994, Official Report, column 546.
