To ask the Secretary of State for Transport, pursuant to his oral answer of 8 March,Official Report, column 652, what suggestions for additions to the facilities offered by the present London travelcard scheme have been made; and if he will make a statement concerning their costs, benefits and practicability.
§ Mr. Norris
The Government are currently discussing potential developments in joint period ticketing with London public transport operators. A number of proposals reflecting the needs of their passengers have been put forward in these discussions. Detailed assessment of such proposals is in the first instance a commercial matter for the operators concerned.
