§ Mr. Baldry
To ask the Secretary of State for Education and Science what representations he has received upon involving parents further in their children's education.
§ Mr. Dunn
My right hon. Friend has received a number of letters from hon. Members and others on this subject. The Education (No. 2) Act 1986 increased the representation of parents on school governing bodies, and provided for more information to be give to parents. The proposals in the Education Reform Bill will further enhance parents' influence.
