§ Mr. Dalyell

§ Mrs. Currie
The Conference of Royal Colleges and their Faculties in Great Britain is producing guidance on transplantation from and into neonates. Pending the establishment of valid guidelines, the conference recommended an immediate moratorium on all transplants from and into infants up to the age of one month. On 10 February 1987 the Department's chief medical officer170W wrote to all regional medical officers endorsing this recommendation and asking that it be brought to the attention of cardiac surgeons and other clinicians with an interest.
