(2) if he will take steps to stop the import of the poisonous plant Monkshood.
§ Mr. Kenneth Clarke
Monkshood is a native poisonous plant which grows in damp places in the western counties of England and in south Wales. Imported plants are no more dangerous than those grown in the United Kingdom. I see no case for banning the sale of these plants as I have no evidence of recent deaths or accidents resulting from the sales that take place.
