asked the Prime Minister if she will now calculate the total annual cost and the average annual 581W cost of full-time equivalent posts in the National Health Service, and local government; and if she will break down the average cost for a full-time equivalent post into pay, national insurance, superannuation and other costs such as office space, heating, lighting, car allowance, travel allowance and telephone.

The total and the average annual cost of wages and salaries of full-time equivalent posts in England for 1982–83 are as follows:
