§ 25. Mr. Roy Hughes
asked the Secretary of State for the Environment how many timber-frame houses have been erected in each year in Great Britain since 1974; and what percentage this represents of the total number of houses built in that period.
§ Sir George Young
Information from the Timber Research and Development Association suggests that the number of timber-frame houses of all types built in the United Kingdom from 1974 to 1982 is 376,000. This represents some 15.6 per cent. of housing output in this period.
