§ Mr. Alfred Morris
asked the Secretary of State for Wales if he will list all the local authorities in Wales which have appointed a disabled person to a committee of the authority as recommended by section 15 of the Chronically Sick and Disabled Persons Act 1970; if he will specify the committees concerned in each case; what encouragement he has given to authorities to co-opt disabled people or otherwise to implement section 15; and if he will make a statement.
§ Mr. Wyn Roberts
This information is not held by the Welsh Office. The composition of its committees is a matter for decision by each individual local authority. I am confident that local authorities in Wales recognise the valuable contribution disabled people can make to certain of their committees.
