§ 35. Mr. John Carlisle
asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department if he will review the law requiring parents to pay the fines imposed following crimes and offences committed by children between the ages of 14 and 17 years, in view of the present inadequacy.
§ Mr. Brittan
The Government's proposals for clearer and stronger provisions enabling parents to be required to pay their children's fines are set out in the recent White Paper on young offenders.
