§ Mr. Lee
asked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs if he will publish a list of such representations as may have been made to date to the Greek Government in respect of the murder of Ann Chapman and also of any 85W replies throwing any light on the responsibility for and motives for her murder; and if he will make a statement.
§ Mr. Judd
Successive British Governments have closely followed the proceedings in Greece since the murder of Miss Ann Chapman there in 1971. The embassy in Athens has had innumerable contacts with a range of Greek authorities on the consular and administrative aspects of the case, but the Greek Government have full responsibility for its conduct.
