My right hon. Friend has received a number of letters about the education and recruitment of engineers. One of her main priorities is to attract more talented young people into science and engineering courses. The education services are working together with the careers service, the employment and training services and industry itself to achieve better co-operation and to provide more426W realistic guidance and information to young people about careers in industry.
