Advertising expenditure in all media for my Department for the 12-month period ending 31st December 1975 was £3,343,946. Of this, £706,450, or 21 per cent., was spent in national daily newspapers and £437,837, or 13 per cent., in Sunday newspapers. For the six-month period ending 30th June 1976 advertising expenditure in all media was £1,381,455. Of this, £179,341, or 13 per cent., was spent in national daily newspapers and £109,101, or 8 per cent., in Sunday newspapers.
Advertising expenditure on the recruitment of staff is not included.
