asked the Secretary of State for Trade and Industry whether he has yet completed his investigation into the increase in the charge for taking brass-rubbings at Trumpington Church during the period of the Counter-Inflation (Temporary Provisions) Act; whether he has decided that this increase breached the provisions of that Act; 437W what was the cost to public funds of this investigation; and if he will make a statement.

Investigation of the complaint has been completed. The vicar has agreed to withdraw the increase from today. The cost to public funds of investigation was insignificant.
