§ Mr. Luard
Her Majesty's Government are playing a full part in the talks now taking place in New York between representatives of France, the United States, the Soviet Union and the United Kingdom. The aim of these talks is to produce as quickly as possible further guidance for Dr. Jarring to enable him 153W to make progress with the parties towards a political settlement of the Arab/ Israel dispute. I believe that the early resumption of Dr. Jarring's mission provides the best hope for progress.
I do not accept the implication of the last part of my hon. Friend's Question.
