All goods coming into this country are subject to Customs examination, the purposes of which include164W the enforcement of any prohibitions or restrictions imposed by law. The importation of all goods from Rhodesia is prohibited by the Southern Rhodesia (United Nations Sanctions) (No. 2) Order 1968 except under an individual import licence, and this affects the incidence of Customs checking.
