§ 103. Mr. Fortescue
asked the Minister of Transport what steps she is taking to ensure that passenger services are not withdrawn from the Liverpool-Gateacre railway line before the provision of alternative bus services as specified in her Department's letter of 21st April, 1966, to the Secretary of the British Railways Board.

The position is already safeguarded by the conditions of my right hon. Friend's consent to closure126W set out in the Department's letter of 21st April. These stipulate that the closure shall not take place unless and until the additional bus services specified in those conditions are available.
