asked the Minister of Health whether he will ensure that there is proper co-ordination between hospitals on the closing of casualty departments in order to avoid the delays caused by the simultaneous closing of casualty departments by hospitals in the same area.177W

Co-ordination is essentially a matter for the hospital authorities but my right hon. Friend is looking further into the matter in the London area. He has received representations from the Patients' Association.
