§ Mr. P. Thorneycroft
According to the records of the Board of Trade, which relate only to factory building (new factories or extensions) of 5,000 square feet or more approved on or after the 1st January, 1945, the information required is as follows:
boroughs neighbouring on the city of Westminster are unaware of the reasons for the purpose of Members exhibiting the House of Commons Motor Club badge on their cars; and whether he will take the necessary action to draw the attention of these policemen to the Sessional Order dealing with the access to the House of Commons of Members of Parliament.
§ Sir D. Maxwell Fyfe
The Sessional Order is published in Metropolitan Police Orders at the beginning of each Session of Parliament, and all police officers are directed to see that the Order is enforced and that every facility is afforded for the free passage of Members to and from the Houses of Parliament. A card bearing a facsimile of the badge of the House of Commons Motor Club is exhibited at police stations which cover the approaches to the House so that police may be able to recognise Members' cars and facilitate their passage to and from the House in accordance with the Sessional Order.
