The types of surplus stores awaiting disposal cover almost the whole range of Service requirements. The stocks held by my Department in this country would on average take about three or four months to clear, but as fresh declarations are still being made by the Service Departments, it is impossible to162W estimate the time it will take to complete the work of disposal until such declarations are completed.
