George Harwood, T. Foster and Sons, Proctor and Lavender, Limited, Evesons (Coals), Limited, J. A. Burrows and Sons, A. H. Proctor, J. F. Fryer, W. H. Gray, T. H. Truelove and Sons; what other local merchants were approached, and when?
