§ Sir R. Gower
asked the Parliamentary Secretary to the Admiralty what has been the practice of granting leave to locally-entered full-time industrial employés of his Department engaged at various stations outside this country?
§ Mr. Shakespeare
Locally-entered industrial employés at naval establishments abroad, with the exception of Singapore, are granted five public holidays with pay per annum; at Singapore only three such holidays a year are allowed. At Malta, Gibraltar, Bermuda and Simonstown, in addition to the five holidays, three extra public holidays with pay are granted.2929W
Chargemen, storehousemen and certain other grades are also granted a measure of leave with pay, varying from nine to 12 days per annum. This is in addition to the five public holidays, but includes the three extra public holidays.
