§ Sir W. JOYNSON-HICKS
Quarters for subordinate prison officers are being built at Parkhurst Convict Prison, at the local prisons at Brixton, Durham, Leeds, Norwich, Nottingham, Wandsworth and Wakefield, and at the Feltham Borstal Institution. In every case use is being made so far as possible of the labour of the convicts, prisoners or Borstal inmates. Some of the quarters are flats and some are cottages. Each contains five rooms and a scullery, and costs approximately £600.
