§ LORD LAMINGTON
My Lords, in the absence of my noble friend Lord Weardale I beg to ask His Majesty's Government the Question standing in his name—Whether they will have prepared and lay upon the Table a Return showing the amount in each case of advances to, or investments made, in oil, nickel, dye, and other industrial undertakings, with the heads of agreement under which such moneys have been 56 granted, and showing what further liabilities have been entered into by the State in these enterprises.
§ LORD HYLTON
My Lords, I understand that a Return is in preparation showing the amount of public money invested in registered companies by His Majesty's Government, the names of the companies, the amounts invested in each company, and the dates when the different investments were made. I will see that a copy of this Return is furnished to my noble friend.
