* LORD ELLENBOROUGH
My Lords, I gave my reasons for wishing that this Return should be granted when I addressed your Lordships on April 5th last. After consultation with the noble Earl who represents the Board of Trade a form of Return has been drawn up which will give all the information I ask for. I therefore beg to move for a Return in that form.
§ Moved, That there be laid before the House a Return showing the number of seamen (exclusive of officers) who entered into foreign-going agreements
|Name of port.||Number of Seamen (exclusive of Officers) who entered into foreign-going Agreements.||Number of Seamen (exclusive of Officers) who made allotments.||Percentage of Seamen who made allotments.|
|To relatives or other persons.||To a Bank.|
§ —;(Lord Ellenborough.)
§ THE EARL OF GRANARD)
His Majesty's Government, as I have informed the noble Lord privately, will be very pleased to grant the Return for which he moves.
§ On Question, Motion agreed to, and ordered accordingly.
§ House adjourned at Seven o'clock, to Thursday next, half-past Ten o'clock.
