§ LORD NEWTON
I beg to ask the Secretary of State for War whether he is able to state the conditions upon which commissions in the Regular cavalry will be granted to Yeomanry officers.
§ THE MARQUESS OF LANSDOWNE
We propose to give one commission in the 622 cavalry to each Yeomanry brigade, upon the following conditions:—The candidate must be medically fit. Selected candidates will have to attend before the medical board in London; their age must be above twenty and under thirty, and they must be unmarried. These are the only conditions.
