THE DUKE OF ARGYLL
My Lords, perhaps the noble Earl at the head of the Foreign Office will allow me to ask him, Whether, without injury to the public service, he can give the House any further information with regard to the negotiations now understood to be carried on respecting the occupation of Gallipoli?
§ THE EARL OF DERBY
My Lords, I am always ready to give your Lordships any information in my power; but all I can say on the very important subject to which the noble Duke has called attention is that those communications are still going on between the two Governments. I have no doubt that at the next meeting of this House I shall be in a position to state the result.
