§ EARL BEAUCHAMP moved that the Commons Amendments should be agreed to, and that their Lordships should not insist on their Amendment fixing the maximum amount of infant insurance at£3.

expressed his regret that their Lordships had not adhered to this Amendment.
§ EARL BEAUCHAMP
said, there might be some force in the observation if Parliament were legislating on the subject for the first time; but the limit of £6 was fixed in 1856 after careful consideration.
