§ Order for Second Reading read.
§ 10.1 p.m.
§ The Solicitor-General (Sir Michael Havers)
I beg to move, That the Bill be now read a Second time.
This is a consolidation measure representing the existing law, as was certified by the Joint Select Committee on 21st November last year when it reported that there was no point to which the attention of Parliament should be drawn.

§ Question put and agreed to.
§ Bill accordingly read a Second time.
§ Bill committed to a Committee of the whole House.—[Mr. Adam Butler.]
§ Bill immediately considered in Committee.
§ [Mr. E. L. MALLALIEU in the Chair.]
The First Deputy Chairman
I propose, if the Committee will allow me, to put all the clauses together.
§ Clauses I to 48 ordered to stand part of the Bill.
