§ 46. Mr. Lewis
asked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs whether, in any peace treaty with Germany, Her Majesty's Government will insist that Germany recognises as invalid the Munich Agreement with all the results therefrom and declares herself as recognising the territory of the former so-called Sudeten region as an integral part of the national territory of Czechoslovakia.
§ The Joint Under-Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs (Mr. Robert Allan)
I understand that the view of the Federal German Government is that the question of the frontiers of a reunited Germany should be settled at a peace treaty with an all-German Government, on the basis of the frontiers existing on 31st December, 1937. I should not expect any difficulty about this question when it comes to the negotiation of a peace treaty.
