Exports of farm produce in recent months have been relatively small. Cattle was the most important item, and my hon. Friend was given particulars about these exports on 31st January. Cereal grains exported were mainly for use as seed. Exports of other produce, including eggs, were trivial in amount. The payments due to producers under price guarantee arrangements in respect of the quantities of farm produce exported in the second half of last year cannot be calculated precisely but would not exceed £500,000.
