§ 37. Sir R. Robinson
asked the Secretary of State for the Colonies what steps are being taken to ensure the main- 1430 tenance and subsequent expansion of the air services in British Guiana.
§ Mr. Hare
The British Guiana Government, who have recently acquired the ownership and control of British Guiana Airways, have appointed British West Indian Airways to act as their managing agents and advisers in the operation and development of air transport services in the Colony. Arrangements are being made for British West Indian Airways, after a year's experience in this capacity, to provide the Government with a report on the operation and future development of the air services in the Colony.
§ Sir R. Robinson
Is the Minister aware that at the present time the air services of British Guiana are very much undermanned? Will he urge upon the Government of the Colony the need for securing adequate flying personnel so that these services may be continued?
