asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer if he will give in pounds and in dollars the amounts of Marshall Aid expected up till 1952, and the dates and amounts of the monthly and annual instalments expected, and of instalments already completed.
§ Sir S. Cripps
E.R.P. assistance is voted by Congress on an annual basis, and I can form no estimate of what, if any, assistance will be provided after June, 1949. For the current period Congress has voted 5 billion dollars (approximately £1,250 million), of which 1,235 million dollars (approximately £309 million) has been allocated to the U.K. for the nine months from April to December.
§ Sir W. Smithers
