asked the Minister of Food the volume and value of pepper mint, lavender, sage and spearmint oils imported into the United Kingdom in 1946; and the countries of origin of such imports.

This information has never been given in connection with any of the commodities we import, for reasons 1997 I have often given to the House. It is true that these are not very important commodities, but I think it would be wrong to make an exception in their case.
