§ 42. Mr. Kirby
asked the Minister of Health whether the Government will include in their post-war housing programme the adequate provision of two and three-roomed flats and other dwellings suitable for persons of limited means such as old age pensioner couples, spinsters, and other persons living alone who require the minimum of accommodation at rents appropriate to their limited incomes.
§ Mr. Willink
Yes, Sir. Suggestions for designs for such dwellings are included in Housing Manual, 1944, published on the 25th September, copies of which have been sent to all local authorities in England and Wales.
