§ 54. Mr. Bellenger
asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer whether he will state the source of income of the 10 additional millionaires whose income, as stated in the report of the Commissioners of Inland Revenue for the year ended 31st March, 1938, exceeded £40,000?
§ Mr. Bellenger
Will the right hon. Gentleman reconsider his decision? Is he not aware that there are a large number of taxpayers who have not an income of £40,000 who would be interested to know the methods by which these huge incomes are made?
§ Mr. Tinker
Will the right hon. Gentleman not ask these people to give him some of this money, so that we can increase old age pensions?
