§ 2. Lieut.-Colonel Sir Thomas Moore
asked the Under-Secretary of State for India whether, in view of the urgency of raising milk-yield standards in India, he will take steps to encourage the experiments which are being made with regard to the possibility of acclimatising European pedigree cattle in the first place to a semi-tropical country such as Palestine and then sending the Palestine-born pedigree European animals to India?
§ Lieut.-Colonel Muirhead
I will invite the attention of the authorities in India to this suggestion. If my hon. and gallant Friend has any information that would assist its consideration I should be glad to receive it.
§ Mr. Robert Gibson
Is the hon. and gallant Member aware that the Ayrshire breed is very adaptable, and that there are already representatives of this breed in India?
§ Sir T. Moore
Is not my hon. and gallant Friend aware that it is not necessary for any other hon. Member to make such representations? I am perfectly capable of doing that.
