asked the Parliamentary Secretary to the Admiralty whether, in view of the fact that the Navy is short of engine-room personnel and approaching engine-building firms for artificers and other engine-room ratings, he will take steps to see that such firms remain in 1712 being in order to train men for naval requirements?
