asked the Secretary of State for Air what is the source of the water supply of the Cottesmore Aerodrome; what is the total capacity of this supply; and is it considered to be adequate for all purposes, including emergencies?

The water supply of the Cottesmore Aerodrome is at present obtained from a well about 50 feet deep, which has a demonstrated capacity of 30,000 gallons in 24 hours and is considered to be adequate for present requirements. The permanent water supply which it is anticipated will be available towards the end of this year will be obtained from the Oakham Rural District Council, and will be capable of meeting any emergency.
