§ 36. Mr. E. SMITH
asked the President of the Board of Trade whether he is taking steps to safeguard the future prospects of British trade, in view of the effect on our trade agreements of the policy that is now being adopted in Europe?
§ Captain CROOKSHANK
I would refer the hon. Member to the reply which was given him on 22nd June. To this I would only add that the Board of Trade watch constantly for any developments, in Europe or elsewhere. which may affect United Kingdom trade interests, with a view to appropriate action being taken where desirable.
