13. Sir KENYON VAUGHAN MORGAN
asked the Home Secretary whether he is aware that apprehension has been caused among taximeter-cab owners and others in consequence of revised regulations issued by the police authorities in the Metropolis and elsewhere; and whether he can give an assurance that such revised regulations will be applied in such a way as not to interfere with the procuring of the necessary evidence in cases of accident?
I presume my hon. Friend is referring to the procedure now being followed in dealing with applications from interested parties for information in connection with road accident cases. I have no reason to suppose that information in regard to such cases will not be made available by chief officers of police to taxi-cab owners and others, so far as this can properly be done.
