As my hon. Friend stated yesterday in reply to a question by the Noble Lord the Member for Aldershot (Viscount Wolmer), I have at present nothing to add to the statement which I made in the debate on the Adjournment on the 6th June.

Does not the right hon. Gentleman realise the urgency of this matter, and can he give any indication to the House when at any rate he can make some statement concerning these investigations?
I can assure the right hon. Gentleman that I do realise the urgency of the matter, and I have informed the House that we are dealing with it in a way that we hope will permit of our being in a position soon to make a statement.

As the right hon. Gentleman alluded to his statement of the 6th June, might I ask him to clear up the statement with regard to asking the House to release the Government from the pledges made during the curly stages of debate on this question of Soviet propaganda?

Has the right hon. Gentleman's attention been called to a certain new form of propaganda by films, and will he take action in regard to certain films which are being distributed?

Has the right hon. Gentleman's attention been drawn to the speech made by the President of the Soviet at the recent Conference in Moscow with regard to the position that has been taken by the people against our rule in India?
My attention has not been called to it, but, if the hon. and gallant Member has any information and sends it to me, I will have it examined.
