asked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs whether he can inform the House what will be the estimated cost of transmission of the British official wireless service which is prepared by the Foreign Office and transmitted from the General Post Office high-power wireless station at Rugby for the 12 months ended to the last convenient date?

In the 12 months ended 31st December, 1928, the amount due to the General Post Office in respect of the transmission of this service was £8,974. The cost for the current year is unlikely to show any marked variation from this figure.
