§ 15. Mr. DALTON
asked the Home Secretary whether his attention has been drawn to the ease of an ex-naval officer who, after some months in private employment, was sentenced to imprisonment under the Official Secrets Act for being in possession of the secret and confidential designs of a British submarine; and whether he has any information which would lead him to believe that any 2154 British firm, or any of its employees, is in possession of documents or designs contrary to the provisions of the Official Secrets Act?
§ Sir W. JOYNSON-HICKS
The hon. Member is mistaken in supposing that there has been a conviction followed by sentence. The accused has not yet been tried, and I cannot say anything about the case while it is sub judice.
