asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer whether, if Messrs. Morgan's gold credits are not used, the commission paid will be less than $2,500,000?

The answer is in the negative.
§ Sir F. WISE
Will the right hon. Gentleman say how his answer coincides with the statement of the Chancellor of the Exchequer on 5th May, 1925, when he said that if gold credits are not used there will be a reduction in the commission?
§ Mr. THURTLE
Can the right hon. Gentleman say whether this money has not been lost to the British Exchequer because of the excessive caution of the Chancellor of the Exchequer in providing credits?
