§ 59. Mr. GRITTEN
asked the Secretary of State for the Colonies whether he is in a position to state at what date the Committee appointed by him to inquire into the circumstances and conditions of the rubber industry will issue its report?
I am not in a position to add anything to the information contained in the answer given to the hon. and gallant Member for Bradford (Major Boyd Carpenter) on 4th April.
§ Mr. GRITTEN
May I ask the hon. Gentleman whether, in view of the very 1555 serious and unfortunate condition of this important industry, in which over £90,000,000 are invested, he can take any steps to expedite the somewhat leisurely proceedings of this Committee?
