§ 22. Mr. LONSDALE
asked the Minister of Transport if he is aware that the Armagh Urban District Council has passed a resolution protesting against the inefficient train service maintained between Dublin and Armagh, and asking that third-class accommodation should be provided on the 7.25 a.m. train from Dublin, 9 or that a connection with Armagh at Goraghwood should be given by the 9 a.m. train from Dublin; and if he will represent to the Irish Railway Executive that these reasonable concessions should be granted?
§ Mr. NEAL
I have seen a copy of the resolution to which the hon. Member refers. I understand the Great Northern Railway Company of Ireland will, as from to-day, provide facilities for third class passengers to travel to Dundalk by the 7.25 a.m. train from Dublin, making connections at Dundalk and Goraghwood for Armagh, arriving at the last named place at 10.10 a.m. This arrangement will be continued pending the restoration of the Goraghwood to Armagh connection with the 9 a.m. train from Dublin.
