§ 24. Mr. W. THORNE
asked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs if he can state the amount of money that has been levied by the German authorities upon the various invaded towns and cities in Belgium and the northern part of France; 1892 and whether such money levied will be part of the indemnities that will be discussed in any peace proposals?
I fear that my information on the subject is not sufficiently complete to permit of my stating any figures, but I can assure my hon. Friend that the Allies will take into consideration in any discussion of peace terms the exactions of the enemy in money and goods in the occupied parts of France and Belgium.
