§ 26. Sir W. BYLES
asked if, in accordance with the promise of the late Under-Secretary, men holding a certificate of permanent unfitness, given at the primary military examination, are exempt from being summoned to appear before the medical board?
§ Mr. FORSTER
I feel sure my hon. Friend must be referring to men who were originally rejected at the primary military examination. Such men need have no fear of being taken for service, but if by chance any such man should receive a notice to attend for re-examination, he should go and see the recruiting officer, who will at once be able to recognise him as a man unfit for service. Co-operation with the recruiting officers in these matters is very desirable and will help to prevent mistakes.
