§ Mr. RENDALL
asked the Postmaster-General whether telegraph boys in the employ of the Post Office have been wearing the same suits of clothes in the recent hot weather as they are provided with in mid-winter; whether compulsory bicycle-riding in such clothes involves cruelty; and if he will make arrangements for such boys to have lighter suits in the summer?
§ The POSTMASTER-GENERAL (Mr.. Herbert Samuel)
The answer to the first part of the question is in the negative. Boy messengers are provided with a suit of light material for summer wear, and with one of stout cloth for the winter.
