§ Mr. WEIR
asked the Lord Advocate if he will state the number of applications received by the Congested Districts Board for crofter holdings on Vatersay, Inverness-shire; will all the men who suffered imprisonment receive new holdings; and, if not, will the Secretary for Scotland state how many of these men have had their applications refused, and the cause of such refusal?
§ The LORD ADVOCATE (Mr. Ure)
The total number of applicants was 83; all of the men who were imprisoned, except two, have been accepted as tenants of holdings. For the answer to the last part of my hon. Friend's question I can only refer him to the reply given to the hon. Member for the College Division of Glasgow on the 22nd inst.
